Building A Bridge - The First Date
Welcome to Building A Bridge
Our Mission is:
To empower people to use their voice to build a bridge beyond race relations creating unity and understanding - effectively raising the collective consciousness of humanity
This is the first of what will be an ongoing series of conversations between Jared Countess and I.
We will be tackling the tough issues around race relations from our unique perspectives (as a black man and white man). Neither of us are "experts" nor do we claim to have all the answers (hence "A" bridge vs "The" bridge).
We would love for you to be a part of our Facebook community we are building around this.
Please consider joining our Facebook group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/BuildingABridge2020
We will have ongoing discussions
Guest contributors (educators, law enforcement, etc...)
And much more
It will be a safe space where you can ask the difficult questions and have the uncomfortable conversations.
At 1 hour and 15 minutes, we acknowledge that this first conversation is a little long. We promise to work on keeping future conversations around the 35-45 ish minute range (we respect your time and all of our attention spans
:) ).
With that being said:
If you are going to listen to this conversation, or any of the convo's we submit, we ask you listen to them in their ENTIRETY.
You will not do service to yourself if you try to skip ahead or fast forward.
What we will be covering throughout this journey is NOT stuff you can just fast forward through or rush to the end to get to the "good stuff". Furthermore the Building A Bridge series is meant to be listened in context (as part of an ongoing series) vs a bunch of chopped up soundbites.
We are doing the series this way because we believe that meaningful & lasting change is not an overnight process, but rather it takes consistency and persistence. We are committed to both.
Think of what your favorite movie or TV show would have been like if you would have just skipped around or only passively engaged in it. 🤔
If you are going to follow along on this journey, we lovingly ask that you give it the same attention as you would your above referenced favorite shows.

We would love your feedback. We would also love to hear your comments/questions. We will be sharing more of these in the coming days/weeks/months.
Thank you for begging this journey with us today.
With love,
Jesse & Jared
